Idaho Falls Police investigate armed robbery at Subway on 17th street

Idaho Falls Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Subway on 17th street in Idaho Falls Tuesday night.

The Idaho Falls Police say the suspects are described as three unknown males.

The first suspect was wearing a dark hoodie – possibly maroon or dark brown – with dark pants and dark boots.

The second suspect was wearing a black hoodie with white shoulder markings and a red hood and white gloves with black stripes.

The third suspect was wearing a black racing hoodie and royal blue gloves.

All three suspects had their faces covered with bandanas.


According to the police report, the three suspects, entered the store, located at 995 E.17th St., just after 10:30 p.m. Two of the suspects had handguns and they confronted the lone male employee in the store and demanded cash from the store safe. The employee retrieved cash from the safe and gave it to the robbers. He was then told to get into the freezer and remain there until the robbers exited the store. The suspects left through the back door.

While investigating, Idaho Falls Police issued a CodeRed alert to residents after they had a possible suspect run from them in the area near 12th Street and St. Clair Road around 1 a.m. The alert was canceled around 3 a.m. due to police believing the person was no longer in the area.
