Idaho man pleads guilty to killing 2 in drunk driving crash
A 20-year-old eastern Idaho man who killed two people in a drunk driving crash has been sentenced to three years, 10 months in prison.
Ruben Wounded Head of Chubbuck received the sentence Wednesday in U.S. District Court.
He’s already served 12 months of the sentence in the Fort Hall Tribal Jail.
Wounded Head pleaded guilty in May to involuntary manslaughter resulting from a drunk driving crash.
Authorities say that in November 2015, Wounded Head crossed the centerline in his 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Tahoe, killing both occupants in the Tahoe.
Wounded Head was also ordered to pay $13,480 in restitution to the victims’ families.
