Water main line to be replaced on Zener Street, Hilliard Street

Crews are scheduled to begin replacing the water main lines on Zener Street and Hilliard Street in Pocatello Monday, August 7.

According to officials, crews will work along Zener Street from Hawthorne Road to Hilliard Street and then begin on Hilliard Street from Jensen Street to U.S. Highway 30.

Construction is scheduled between the hours of 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

City officials said access to the construction area will be restricted and sections of the street will be completely closed while workers are digging during the project. Parking will also be restricted in the construction zone, and residents are asked to park all vehicles away from the area during the day. At the close of each day, access will be restored to all properties.

City officials warn residents the construction may cause short-term disruptions to water service and encourage residents to keep a supply of drinking water available.

The project is anticipated to last eight weeks.
