Ramp closures, lane restrictions scheduled on I-15 near Shelley and Idaho Falls this week

The Idaho Transportation Department warns you to expect ramp closures and lane restrictions on Interstate 15 near Shelley and Idaho Falls this week as a part of ITD’s work to improve I-15 in eastern Idaho.

The northbound Interstate 15 on- and off-ramps at exit 108 (Shelley) will be closed from noon on Tuesday, Aug. 8, to noon Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Lane restrictions will continue on I-15 under the Shattock Butte, McCarty and Payne bridges in Idaho Falls until late August. The Shattock Butte bridge is open to traffic.

I-15 is reduced to one lane in both directions in several construction zones between Utah and Montana this summer.

ITD plans to invest $95 million in bridge repairs and pavement improvements on I-15 in 2017 and 2018. Construction is to be expected to continue for the next several years.
