Sheriff: Rumors about the Mink Creek area being evacuated are not true
The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve received numerous calls from concerned citizens regarding any immediate danger to homes in the area near the Powerline Fire.
According to the sheriff’s office, at this time, there is no immediate danger to any homes in Bannock County.
There have also been rumors that the Mink Creek area is being evacuated, and this is not true.
If any area is going to be evacuated, the sheriff’s office said officials will contact the public as far in advance as possible.
