Bonneville County Transfer Station closed until further notice

The Bonneville County Transfer Station on Hemmert Drive in Idaho Falls was closed Wednesday after employees located a spill of suspected chlorine.

The building was evacuated while the Idaho Falls Fire Department reviewed the situation.

No one was injured, but some employees complained of burning skin and eyes.

The county’s Solid Waste Department expects the building to reopen Thursday.
