Teachers prepare for students to head back to school

Summer is almost over and that means it is just about time for students to head back to school. While families are busy buying back to school supplies, teachers are preparing their classrooms.

“We have had administrators and teachers in training. Building leadership teams, getting ready with goals and outcomes for the school year and just getting some of those final preparations ready to go,” commented Sheryl Brockett, the principal of Century High School in Pocatello.

Principal Brockett also wanted to remind drivers, that when school starts back up, remember to slow down.

“We want to keep these students safe as they travel to and from school. I encourage community members to watch speed limits and school zones, take care of our kiddos out there so they can get here safely,” commented Brockett.

Finally, while some students might be hesitant to head back to class, Brockett said they are excited for school to start.

“We are super excited to get the students in the building and get them learning. That is what we have been working for all summer long in preparation for some learning with kids,” said Brockett.
