Staff and returning students welcome new students to ISU

Classes will start back up at Idaho State University on August 22nd. While new students are moving into their new homes and checking out the area, staff and former students are making sure they feel welcome.

“Since last Friday we started off with a dinner to get everybody back and familiar with each other and since then we have been busy talking about how we want students to feel, what we want to convey to them about how awesome ISU is. And since then we have been setting up events, tearing down events, being chipper and joyful for everybody, ” comment Christian Keech, a senior at ISU.

New student orientation is another way the Bengal community is helping students get acquainted to college life.

“Academically we want to introduce them to resources that are available to all students once classes begin. And that we are here to welcome them to the Bengal family and support their academic journey,” commented Brooke Barber, the director of orientation, leadership and service at ISU.
