Showers are lingering across the Snake Plain and surrounding regions this morning, and these will continue into the afternoon. Given such cold air aloft, it is possible for some of these showers to develop into thunderstorms this afternoon. Furthermore, it is also possible for some of the heavier showers to produce mixed snow with rain at the valley floor today. Given the cold temps, we could see a hard freeze for the next few mornings as well. Tomorrow we should get a break from the showers, after which some scattered showers return for Wednesday.
