Growth continues along Snake River with new hotel in Idaho Falls
The brand new SpringHill Suites by Marriott officially opened Monday. The new hotel features 124 rooms and creates 40 full-time jobs.
But that’s not the only thing brand new along that part of the river. The city has also expanded the Riverwalk Gardens in front of the hotel, adding flowers and benches for visitors and citizens to enjoy.
City officials say the expansion of the area between Broadway and Pancheri is helping to boost the community.
“It’s a brand new business core to compliment what’s going on downtown, what’s going on with Snake River Landing,” Mayor Rebecca Casper, mayor of Idaho Falls, said. “It just works together to create a real, add some luster and vibrancy to the business core in our community.”
The new hotel also features two meeting rooms that can hold up to 40 people each.
