Missing Pocatello man found dead

UPDATE 8:33 P.M.: Bannock County Coroner Kim A. Quick has confirmed with that Edward J. Girrard was found dead in ravine off West Tyhee Road, northwest of Chubbuck.

His body was found about 5 o’clock Thursday evening by a resident in the area.

ORIGINAL:Edward J. Girrard, 82, was last seen fueling his pickup at the Pocatello Fred Meyer around 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30.

The pickup is a green Toyota with Idaho license plate 1B 26213.

Girrard is known to frequent the McCammon area, Bannock Peak truck stop, and the Fort Hall Casino. He prefers to drive on back roads.

When last seen, Girrard was believed to have been wearing a western style shirt, Levi’s jeans, and a baseball cap.
