ISU marching band invitational set for Saturday

Twenty-two bands from Idaho and Nevada will be competing in the 2017 Idaho State University Mountain West Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, October 14.

Bands are placed in divisions based on a number of students performing, and each band is judged on the quality of their musical and visual performance, as well as their percussion and auxiliary (color guard) units.

Each division will be awarded “Outstanding” Music, Visual, Percussion and Auxiliary awards.

The overall highest score by an Idaho band will receive the Gem State Award.

The ISU Marching Band will close the show with their performance of music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Tickets are sold at the door starting at 9 a.m. and are $8 adults and $5 for students.

Concessions will be available all day.
