Two hurt in crash north of Rexburg
Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle rollover at around 6:52 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 20, near the Fremont County line north of Rexburg.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, identified as Akivasha Lopez-Ortega, 18, apparently fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle. She was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by helicopter. She was listed in critical condition Friday morning.
Her passenger, Matthew Hernandez, 19, was transported to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg for treatment.
