Weather update for October 21st

A storm system will bring a round of snow showers to Southeastern Idaho on Saturday night. Expect snow accumulations on mountain passes in the Central Mountains and along the Continental Divide. Higher elevation areas above 8000 feet could see 8 to 10 inches of snow through tomorrow. On Sunday a wind advisory will be in place for the Snake River Plain. There is potential for wind gusts to get up to 50 MPH.

A high pressure system will build back up in the area on Monday. Sunshine and drier weather conditions are expected for the work week.

Sunday: Partly/mostly cloudy, with highs in the 50’s.

Monday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50’s.

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the 60’s.
