Trucking company building destroyed in fire
A traveler spotted a structure fire at 1824 East Highway 30, B J Barnes & Sons Trucking, in McCammon around 11:20 a.m. Sunday.
McCammon Fire Chief Rich Pearson reports four engines and four water trucks from McCammon Volunteer, Inkom Volunteer, Lava Volunteer and Downey Volunteer responded to the fire.
Pearson said the fire was contained by 6:00 a.m. Monday, but a flare-up around 8:30 a.m. took about an hour to contain.
The structure was a total loss, according to Pearson.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
