Driver clips Wyoming Highway Patrol vehicle

Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers escaped serious injury when their patrol car was hit by a car on Interstate 25, near Douglas.

The officers were investigating a collision at around 1:07 p.m. Thursday when a southbound 2013 Dodge Challenger hit the patrol car.

Officers said the driver of the Charger lost control of the car on a slush-covered road. The troopers were inside their vehicle and sustained minor injuries.

The incident prompted the Highway Patrol to remind motorists to slow down when driving in inclement weather and remember to move over for all emergency vehicles.
