Vehicle strikes bridge on US 30 in Pocatello

Idaho State Police investigated a crash south of N Main St. and Garrett Way, which is also US 30, in Pocatello Wednesday around 8:30 a.m.

36-year-old Bryan Williams of Grace was driving southbound on N Main St. in an International truck hauling an excavator on a trailer.

ISP reports as Williams drove under a railroad bridge, the boom from the excavator struck the bridge and a gas pipeline that runs alongside it.

The right lane of eastbound travel was briefly blocked while the bridge and pipeline were inspected.

The investigation is ongoing.
