White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the address in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

While Leavitt's post offered no other details on the content of the speech, the President's address comes amid waning support and deepening skepticism surrounding the conflict in Iran.

As the conflict surpasses its first month, a new CNN poll suggests the President’s handling of the conflict is under intense scrutiny. According to the poll, only one-third of Americans believe the President has a clear plan for the situation in Iran.

The President's address also follows a recent Reuters poll, which found that two-thirds of Americans believe the U.S. should prioritize a swift end to its military involvement, even if it doesn't accomplish its military goals.
