Big Ten welcomes changes as new basketball era begins

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Big Ten basketball entered a whole new world when it returned to Indianapolis for the first of two media days. Coaches openly embraced the branding power and benefits their players had gotten from the new names, images and likeness rules. Players talked about how the extra money has changed their lives and transfer talk was no longer taboo, either. Men’s and women’s teams shared the big stage. Even the arena they were in had a new name.
