Despite bad numbers, Seahawks believe their defense is solid

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Some of the numbers attached to the Seattle Seahawks defense this season are downright unrecognizable. Most glaring is that no team in the league is allowing more total yards than the Seahawks. Seattle is giving up nearly 400 yards per game. But there is a flip side and why the Seahawks believe their defense is actually pretty good. Seattle is fifth in the league in scoring defense allowing 20.2 points per game. They have not let an opponent score more than 23 points since Week 5 against the Rams, who happen to be Seattle’s opponent this week.
