Idaho State preps for Big Sky play following an 0-3 start to the season
POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - A 31-16 loss to Central Arkansas in Saturday's home opener was a tough pill to swallow for the Idaho State Bengals. But this week, ISU's Big Sky schedule begins, and a new season with it for a struggling Bengals squad.
Head Coach Charlie Ragle said despite multiple chances to control Saturday's game early, his team shot themselves in the foot.
"We very easily could have been up 14-0," Ragle said. "We weren't. So that's who we are. That's not should've could've. We didn't. And that's who we are. We're an 0-3Â football team."
Ragle added that the Bengals have to get better and find a way to win quickly in conference play.
"The Big Sky is probably the best division in the FCS," Ragle said. "The margins probably get even a little bit smaller, so we don't have room for error."
