Rigby Trojans crush Minico Spartans 48-14 after 38-0 first half lead

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) – The Rigby Trojans defeated the Minico Spartans 48-14 after establishing a 38-0 lead by halftime.

Following their dominant first-half performance, the Trojans brought in their backup players to start the second half.

On the opening drive of the second half, sophomore Kyler Perry carried the ball up the middle for a substantial gain. Facing third and long, senior quarterback Gunnar Davis completed a long pass over the middle to convert a first down.

Two plays later, Perry took another handoff and fought for additional yardage. Davis capped off the drive by throwing a touchdown pass to Karter Oswald, increasing Rigby's lead to 45-0 before the Trojans secured the 48-14 victory.

Rigby will travel to Utah to take on their fourth Utah opponent of the season next week, they'll play the Box Elder Bees.
