Sugar-Salem joins Skyline and West Side as first place teams in latest media polls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Sugar-Salem Diggers have taken the lead in 3A Idaho football after a bye week, joining the Skyline Grizzlies and West Side Pirates as first place East Idaho teams in the media polls.

Sugar-Salem overtook Homedale after the Trojans lost to Sandpoint last week. West Side leads 2A after a bye week as well, and Skyline took down Hillcrest to maintain the top spot in 4A.

Also notable, Rigby dropped to third in the 5A poll after a bye, Blackfoot and Pocatello remain in the 4A poll despite losses, and Teton enters the 3A poll in fifth, which means all three Mountain Rivers conference teams are ranked going into this weekend's games.
