Polar Experience provides holiday fun for the family
FORT HALL, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - A unique holiday activity is lighting up the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel in Fort Hall.
For the first time, the hotel is offering the Polar Experience event, a place for families to get into the holiday spirit.
“(We want) to be that other place of excitement for the holiday season, so we decided to do different depictions from the movie and have an interactive event for something that you’re not used to seeing in southeast Idaho,” said hotel executive director, Colista Eagle.
Families can decorate cookies and ornaments, write letters to North Pole, ride a train and more.
“It’s not just about seeing Santa Claus,” Eagle said.
While Santa is there for children to meet, there's a lot of activities for the kids to enjoy.
Each department of the hotel came together to recreate a scene from the Polar Express movie.
“Like when the child in the movie goes on top of the train and sees the hobo that’s up there, we have that. Our security team actually did a really good job creating their vision from that,” Eagle said.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. Families can also get a package deal that includes four tickets to the Polar Experience and a one-night hotel stay.
The Polar Experience will be available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Dec. 19.
