Idaho Gives Benefits Local Dance Company

You have a chance to join a statewide ‘giving blitz’ to Idaho non-profit agencies. It’s called’ Idaho Gives’ and this week we’re featuring some organizations that will benefit.

Idaho Childrens Dance Theater has been providing dance lessons for local youth for years. They’re partnering with Idaho Gives to do matching grants.

Besides teaching talented children regularly, Artistic Director Caroline Duffin also goes to facilities with handicapped young people to help them with whatever dancing and movement they’re capable of doing.

“Their counselors tell me this really helps with their academics, their self-esteem, their motor skills and everything, so I feel like we’re doing a great benefit in the community for these young people,” Duffin said.
