Fire Crews Fighting Wildfire in Madison County
Madison County and other area fire crews are working to contain and control a wildfire east of Rexburg Friday night.
The fire is located by White Owl Butte, in eastern Madison County.
Sheriff Roy Klingler says the fire is burning brush, grass and some junipers on private land. Nostructuresare threatened with the fire burning an estimated 15 acres.
Trucks and crews from both Madison and Jefferson counties are at the fire. A bulldozer is also being called in from the Idaho Department of Lands to create a fire line.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
