BBB warns about door-to-door company

A new scam could be coming to your door.

The Better Business Bureau is sounding the alarm on a new door-to-door sales scam hitting Idaho.

The company in question is BNK Productions from Arizona.

The BBB said is has gotten complaints that BNK Productions sells books and magazine subscriptions for more than $100, but doesn’t send the items customers have bought.

Then customers say they can’t get their money back.

The salespeople also claim a portion of the subscription helps pay for magazines that are being sent to troops overseas, but the BBB said that may not be legitimate, either.

To avoid becoming a victim, the BBB said, you should not give money to door-to-door solicitors, unless you know you are giving to local kids for local causes.

If you feel threatened by any door-to-door sales representative, call 911 or your local police department.

If you have ordered magazines or other products from a door-to-door salesperson, but have not received them, you can file a complaint with the BBB or local law enforcement.
