Fire ignites inside Idaho Falls garage
Idaho Falls fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire on Meppen Drive on Friday night.
The fire call came in just after 6 p.m. Friday. Fire crews arrived to find a fire in a garage. Firefighters were able to put out the flames, keeping the damage contained to the garage. Kelly Murdock lives in the neighborhood and said when he saw the fire he went to see if anyone needed help.
“My son was crying because he thought I was going to die. I just kept thinking that if I was trapped and the building was on fire, would I want someone to come and get me,” said Murdock.
No one was hurt in the fire.Meppen Drive was blocked to traffic while crews put out the fire.
