Man accused of using knife to threaten driver

A man was arrested after he used a knife to threaten another man who told him to use the crosswalk, Idaho Falls police said.

On Sunday around 10 p.m. a 32-year-old man flagged down police to report that a man had threatened him with a knife. The victim said that while driving west on F Street, he saw a man, later identified as Jacob M. Hillman, 25, crossing the intersection. The driver stopped and suggested Hillman use the crosswalk to avoid being hit by a car.

Hillman allegedly approached the other man with a knife and threatened him.

Officers located Hillman, of Idaho Falls, at the Midget Market. Hillman had a knife, they said.

He was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
