Pocatello man charged with aggravated battery

A Pocatello man is charged with aggravated battery after another man was struck in the head with a metal baseball bat, according to Pocatello Police.

Allon Jenkins, 45, was arrested shortly after the disturbance was reported at 729 W. Center at around 11:21 p.m. Monday.

A 42-year-old man was transported to Portneuf Medical Center with a fractured skull. He was expected to survive, but could not answer any police questions about the argument. His condition was unknown.

Police said the argument involved a group of people who live in the same apartment building.

Investigation is continuing.
