Shoppers scramble with less than two days until Christmas

If you’re one of those folks scrambling to get some last minute shopping done before Christmas arrives, you’re not alone.

And you’ll know it, once you hit those stores.

This week has proven to be some of the busiest days of the year for retailers across the country, and according to the National Retail Federation, November and December are expected to rake-in $616.9 billion in national retail sales, excluding gas and restaurants.

The study shows, this is a 4.1% increase than this past year, and this makes the first time since 2011 that holiday sales have increased by more than four percent, with online sales reaching a high of between an eight and 11 percent increase.

The study also shows that four-in-10 people get all of their Christmas shopping done before Halloween even begins.
