1 hurt after car trapped under trailer
A 28-year-old Idaho Falls man was hospitalized Monday morning after his 1997 Toyota Camry crashed into a 2014 Volvo semi-trailer truck. Idaho State Police said Shawn Farrer was attempting to merge onto U.S. Highway 20 at St. Leon Road when his car became wedged under the trailer.
Farrer had to be extricated from his car and was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was treated there and released.
The driver of the truck, David Bradley, 59, of Idaho Falls was not taken to the hospital.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. One lane was blocked for nearly an hour and a half while crews worked to clear the wreck. Investigation is continuing.
