Daniel man accused of pulling a gun at Pub Place

A Daniel, Wyoming, man is in custody after a disturbance in which one person pulled a firearm at the Pub Place in the 10000 block of South Highway 89.

Russell Nicholson, 22, was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Teton County, Wyoming deputies were called to the bar around 1:20 a.m. Saturday after witnesses said a man pulled a firearm, then fled the area in a pickup truck and headed south towards Hoback Junction.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped the pickup near the Hoback Market. Nicholson was detained without incident and a loaded firearm was recovered from the pickup.

Nicholson was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, driving without an ignition interlock device, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after investigation concluded at Pub Place. The charges were forwarded to the Teton County Prosecutor’s Office.
