Grand Targhee grant request withdrawn

Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming is asking the Wyoming Business Council to approve a three million dollar grant to help it build a new ski lift.

But, the Teton County, Wyoming Board of County Commissioners voted to withdraw the application Monday.

County spokesperson Charlotte Reynolds said the board determined there were several details that needed to be finalized or resolved before the business council would consider the application “complete”.

Commissioners may consider resubmitting an application in March or later in 2015.

In the meantime, she said there are some other opportunities the county may pursue in the coming months that could be appropriate funding sources for the project.
