Jackson Hole resort investigates skier death

Teton County officials are investigating the death of a skier at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in west-central Wyoming.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Marc Krantz of Pepper Pike, Ohio.

The Teton County Sheriff’s office received its initial call for assistance at 2:57 p.m. Sunday. Jackson Hole Fire/EMS was dispatched to Teton Village. Ski Patrol found the man in Brush Gully and initiated CPR. They were soon joined by a local emergency room physician.

Krantz was unresponsive and was not breathing. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at 3:58 p.m.

Investigation of the incident by the Sheriff’s office and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is continuing.
