New way to sign up for news alerts

Managing your email notifications from Local News 8 and KIDK is easier than ever.

Go to the email link at the top of the page (next to the search bar) or click here.

This is where you can not only sign up for emails – but which ones. If, for example, you only want to know the big local news, but don’t care about the world’s largest paper wad, simply sign up for Local Breaking News and not Irresistible Headlines. You can also unsubscribe from emails you no longer want to receive.

You can sign up using a social media account or your email address. If you are already getting emails from our station, you don’t need to bother with any of this if you don’t want to add to the emails you are getting. However, if you want to add another subscription, you will need to go to the link above.

If you sign up with the same email that you used for our old system, the system should recognize you. (If you decide to unsubscribe from emails, you will not be required to create a profile. You can unsubscribe directly from the body of the email you receive.)
