Black ice causes numerous crashes on US 20

Black ice is blamed for several crashes on the Lorenzo Bridge on U.S. Highway 20 south of Rexburg Monday morning.

All lanes of the highway were opened to traffic shortly after 8 a.m.

There were no injuries.

Idaho State Police handled three crashes beginning at around 6:30 a.m. Madison County deputies investigated at least one more.

At one time both east and west bound lanes of travel were blocked.
