IFPD invesitgates hit-and-run; victims speak
A pickup driver who crashed into three cars, is on the run, Idaho Falls police say.
Police say it happened on 1000 block of South Boulevard.
Witnesses say the driver was in a gray Dodge Dakota. They believe the truck is a late 1990s or early 2000s model.
Police tell Local News 8/KIDK Eyewitness News the license plate is local, and starts with 8B. The rest of the license plate number is unknown.
Kelly Cleverley is expecting any day now, that’s why her husband bought a Pontiac last month. Cleverley says Monday night, someone took away her reliable transportation. “My husband and I were laying in bed, getting ready to go to bed and I heard this big… It sounded like an explosion. I look out my window and I saw this Dodge Dakota. I watched it ram into the white car and then back up into mine,” Cleverley said.
She says the driver of that truck smashed into each car twice and took off.
The victims begging the community to keep an eye out for the truck.
