Rexburg man stabbed during robbery

A Rexburg man suffered a knife injury Tuesday night during an alleged robbery.

Rexburg Police said the man, a married BYU-Idaho student, was walking his dog on Casper Avenue near Pioneer Avenue at around 11 p.m. when a man in a hoodie approached him from behind. The victim said the man demanded his wallet.

The victim turned and struck at the suspect, who stabbed him in the leg with a knife. The man was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital where he was treated with one stitch.

The suspect is still at large and the investigation is continuing.
