Rain and snow showers expected this week
A dip in the jet stream and an area of low pressure, will signal stormy weather patterns this week over Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming. Much like the Thanksgiving holiday, We’ll see scattered rain and snow, with moderate mountain snowfall. The Snake River Plain is expected to see low travel impacts for Tuesday and Wednesday, with a rain/snow mix.
By Friday, we could see accumulating snowfall in the Snake River Plain with colder air working in behind a front. The Friday event may finally bring some accumulating snow into the main portion of the Eastern Idaho Snake River Plain.
The National Weather Service in Pocatello, has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Tuesday and Wednesday event.
