Patrons tell D93 board of qualities desired in new superintendent

The application period for the Bonneville School District No. 93 superintendent job is now closed.

The school board held a public meeting Wednesday night at Thunder Ridge High School to get public input. The board wanted to hear what traits and characteristics the patrons would like in a new superintendent and how the person would lead the district and yet be a trustworthy component between parents and the community.

“We have to be able to find someone who has the capabilities, the education, the strengths in finances and curriculum, all of those areas which are incumbent upon a good superintendent. We don’t want just a good superintendent, we want the best we could possibly find,” said board chairman Paul Jenkins.

The school board hopes to come to a final decision at the end of January and announce the selection Feb. 13 at the scheduled board meeting.
