Customer hearing scheduled on water utility’s application to change rates
BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) – A customer hearing will be held in Idaho Falls on Nov. 27 to take testimony on an application from Falls Water Company to change the rates it charges customers to provide service.
Commission staff and Falls Water entered into a settlement that would result in an approximate 28.8 percent increase in revenue collected through customer rates. The utility said the additional revenue would help recover increased operating expenses and costs associated with plant additions.
The commission may accept the settlement, reject it or state additional conditions under which the settlement will be accepted.
The customer hearing will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, at the Idaho Falls Elks Lodge, 640 Elva Street, Idaho Falls, 83401, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or after all customer testimony has been taken, whichever comes first. In-person attendance is required to submit testimony. Those interested in listening to the hearing can call 1-415-655-0001 and enter meeting number 2633 827 9150 when prompted. Testimony will not be taken over the phone.
