Boise State preps for UTEP as fans keep their eye on the QB position

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) - The Boise State Broncos have won two in a row since their season-opening loss to Oregon State, but despite the budding win streak, not all is well on the blue.

After taking a hard hit in the 4th quarter of Saturday's win against UT Martin, Hank Bachmeier was down on the field for minutes. When freshman Taylor Green entered the game, he received loud cheers, which sent a mixed message to the team.

"I never want to hear someone cheer when a brother goes down," Boise State Safety Seyi Oladipo said. "Regardless of who's going in next, I don't want to hear someone cheer for Hank because Taylen is going in. I have equal confidence in both of them and I know Hank is probably unfazed by it, but we have to protect our own."

The Broncos take on the UTEP Miners at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX for their penultimate non-conference game of the season this weekend. Kickoff Friday night is set for 7:00 p.m. MT.
