Snow showers early on Monday
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies will be present throughout the region. Snow showers starting to come into the region in the overnight hours for central ID. Winds will also start to pick up slightly to be between 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 and 30 mph. Low temperatures get down to the single digits with the wind chill reaching below zero.
TOMORROW: Snow showers will continue into the later morning hours with widespread showers across central ID and western WY. Some isolated, stray snow showers can reach down into the valleys and southern highlands. Snow showers will be a lot less numerous into the afternoon and evening hours. Winds will ramp up to be between 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. High temperatures will slightly increase tomorrow with high's in the mid 20's to lower 30's.
LONG TERM: Stray, isolated snow showers will continue in the mountains on Tuesday and Wednesday. The entire region dries out for Thursday and Friday. By the end of this system, snow accumulation should be around an inch or less for most of the region except for some mountain tops which could receive up to 6 inches. Snow showers then look to return on Saturday. Winds will calm down into Tuesday and are expected to be calm for the rest of the week. High temperatures decrease Tuesday and Wednesday to where highs are back in the 10's. High temperatures will then slightly rebound into next weekend with highs back in the 20's.
