Slightly cooler and windy for Monday

TONIGHT: Isolated thunderstorms and rain showers are making their way through central ID and the Snake River Plain and will continue to do so until around sunset. Some of these showers could move into SE Idaho and western WY in the late night hours. Winds will be slight breezes between 5-15 mph. Low temperatures only get down to the 60's for the early morning.

MONDAY: We will see mostly sunny skies for most of the region tomorrow with stray rain showers over the southern highlands, SE Idaho, and western WY. Rain chances even for these areas is only at 20%. Winds will be very gusty getting up to 20-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. High temperatures will decrease down to the upper 80's and lower 90's.

LONG TERM: Sunny and dry conditions continue for much of the work week and even into next weekend. We will continue to see spotty, stray showers possible in the mountains of SE Idaho and western WY in the second half of the work week too, but no major chances for rain are in sight. Winds will be slightly breezy for the week between 10-20 mph. High's stay fairly consistent throughout the week in the upper 80's and lower 90's.

region, and southern highlands, including but not limited to
Burley, Heyburn, American Falls, Aberdeen, Blackfoot, Fort Hall,
Chubbuck, Pocatello, Lava Hot Springs, Malad, and Preston.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM MDT MONDAY for Craters of the Moon, the Arco Desert, Upper Snake Plain,
and Beaverhead-Lemhi Highlands, including but not limited to
Atomic City, Idaho National Laboratory, Mud Lake, Dubois, Idaho
Falls, Ammon, Rigby, Ririe, Rexburg, and St. Anthony.
