2 arrested after Blackfoot shooting incident
Bingham County Prosecutor Paul Rogers has filed charges in connection with a shooting incident Thursday night.
The shooting happened near 600 West, 300 North in Bingham County. According to the prosecutor’s office, the female suspect brought a handgun with her into a male suspect’s home.
At some point of contact between the two, the female dropped the handgun and fled the home in her vehicle. The prosecutor’s office said the male suspect allegedly fired the handgun at her vehicle as it drove away.
Friday morning, Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland said Andrew Young, 32, was arrested for aggravated battery. He was being held on $200,000 bond after arraignment.
Another woman, identified as Gwendolyn Barrington was charged with battery on an officer. Her bond was set at $50,000.
The female victim was injured in the incident. Her name is not being released at this time.
