Police investigate two-car crash south of Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)- UPDATE 12/26/19 6:17 P.M.: On December 26, around 3:33 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash heading south on US 91 at the intersection of West 65th South, north of Shelley.

40-year-old Angelene Stoddard, of Saratoga Springs, UT, was driving south on US 91 in a 2018 Ford Transit Van. 

51-year-old Shelley resident, Lynn Fuhriman, was driving west on 65th South in a 2018 Kia Stinger and was hit by Stoddard. 

Stoddard's vehicle rolled and hit the traffic light pole. 

A juvenile passenger in Stoddard's vehicle had to be extricated and was taken by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Reginal Medical Center in Idaho Falls. 

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts. 

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.  

ORIGINAL STORY 12/26/19 4:24 P.M.: Law enforcement is investigating a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of York Road and Yellowstone. The crash has blocked lanes of travel at the intersection.

According to officials on the scene, the SUV was driving southbound when it was struck by a red sedan heading west. The van hit a pole, which struck near the second row of seats in the SUV. No one was in that row, but a juvenile was sitting in the third row. That girl was taken out of the wreckage through the back of the van. The driver was extricated through the front.

One person was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Others were also being treated for injuries.
