Portneuf Cancer Center received gift from Phil Meador Subaru

Portneuf

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – Portneuf Cancer Center received a gift from Phil Meador Subaru on Friday.

Representatives from the dealership brought blankets and self-care kits for patients to use during treatment. This gift is part of a collaboration between Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

“The Portneuf Cancer Center greatly appreciates the generosity of Phil Meador Subaru and their support of our patients,” said Michael Callaghan, MD, medical director, radiation oncologist at Portneuf Cancer Center. “These types of items lend comfort to patients during a difficult time.”

The blankets and self-care kits—which include an eye mask, coloring materials, body lotion, lip balm and a push pop fidget game—come with a message of hope for patients.

“We love to care and we show it by providing warmth, love, and relief when and where they’re needed most,” Phil Meador Subaru employee Brian Johnston said. “That’s why we are stepping up to support cancer patients and their families as part of Subaru Loves to Care month.”
