MADRID (AP) — Spain’s Maritime Rescue service says the bodies of a man and a child have been retrieved from waters off the western coast of Morocco after a rubber dinghy carrying migrants sank. A Spanish NGO says more than 60 people were aboard: 24 people were rescued but more than 30 are missing. It accuses Spanish authorities of failing to assist the migrants in time. The Maritime Rescue service says it received a call Tuesday evening from the boat, which was located some 70 kilometers off Morocco’s northwest African coast. It said Morocco assumed responsibility for the rescue operation and it had no details as to when or why the boat sank.
