ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A funeral service has been held near Athens for a Greek soccer fan killed in an attack led by Croatian supporters that has rattled European sporting officials. AEK Athens fan Michalis Katsouris died from a stab wound, and 10 others were injured when scores of Dinamo Zagreb supporters wielding wooden clubs and metal bats attacked bystanders outside AEK’s Opap Arena on Monday. A Champions League qualifier between the two clubs planned Tuesday was called off hours later by UEFA and its president, Aleksander Ceferin, will visit Greece next week to meet with Greece’s prime minister. Hours before the funeral, scuffles broke outside a court building where AEK fans gathered as the arrested supporters were led in handcuffs to give evidence.
